Are you looking for something special and a little bit different? A place where all are welcome to enjoy a relaxing stay in unique surroundings. 

Kilsby is that special place, steeped in local history and surrounded by spectacular scenery and wildlife. We offer comfortable, high quality B&B accommodation in two double/twin rooms with private bathroom facilities. Free Wi-Fi internet access is available for our guests.

We also offer self-catering accommodation for 4+ in our superbly equipped cottage adjacent to the house with spectacular views over the upper Irfon valley. Local Fishing, Cycling, Walking & Pony-Trekking

Reduced rate wild brown trout fly-fishing is available for our guests on the local Upper Irfon beat situated within easy walking distance of the house. Many other local waters are within easy reach with excellent winter grayling fishing on the Irfon a highlight. We are a local agent for the Wye & Usk Foundation Passport Scheme.

Numerous walking and cycle routes are close enough to leave your car at the house and enjoy a day in the countryside away from traffic and often without seeing another soul. Alternatively a local pony-trekking centre offers guided rides in the surrounding area.

Fine dining at two local gourmet restaurants is available locally just a mile away and there are several friendly local pubs to choose from for a hearty meal. Real Ale is a local speciality with one pub hosting their own micro-brewery and a beer festival taking place in November every year.

About Kilsby Country House

Our extensive breakfast menu is sourced from local and home-made produce and we use organic, free-range and fair-trade produce wherever possible. Breakfast in our dining room is also available to Self Catering guests by prior arrangement.

Relax in our beautiful grounds and enjoy the spectacular views from the extensive and secluded garden seating. Well-stocked bird-feeders are visited by a diverse range of both resident and migrant birds with both spotted and pied flycatchers nesting in close proximity to the house.

Mega packed lunches also available for the active walker, mountain-biker and angler. All of this contributes towards a memorable stay and explains why so many of our guests return time and time again.
